Patient Rights

In line with the Specialized Hospital’s mission to provide comprehensive patient care, and based on our belief in the role of the patient and their family in this care, the hospital affirms its support for the following rights and duties of the patient and their family:

To be informed of your rights in a clear and understandable manner.

To receive the most appropriate treatment and the best services that help manage their pain and safely navigate the treatment process.

To receive the best healthcare that preserves their dignity and freedom and instills hope for recovery.

To know the identity and competence of the medical and service team providing their care and services, and to know the physician directly responsible for their treatment and follow-up.

To choose a treating physician and request a second medical opinion.

To be informed of your current health condition, treatment options, risks associated with treatment, expected outcomes, refusal of treatment, and length of stay. In addition, the patient has the right to know the estimated costs of their treatment and the right to fully participate in making decisions related to treatment.
Receive awareness, training, and guidance to enable them to exercise their right to participate and make decisions related to their treatment and to distinguish between available options. They have the right to refuse treatment or request effective pain relief.
Procedures for examining and diagnosing a patient’s illness must be conducted in conditions that preserve their privacy, customs, and respect their social traditions, including:
The patient may request the presence of a person of the same sex for examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
Remove body parts from the patient’s body as long as this does not hinder the necessary medical procedures.
Request to be transferred from one room to another if circumstances warrant this and the necessary facilities are available to fulfill their wishes.

International Patient Rights

Receive information about all medications, including their names, alternative names as commonly used in the country of residence, their effects, and side effects.
Your right to receive information about any relationships the hospital has with any other healthcare providers or insurance companies in the area of ​​your treatment.
Your right to review your medical record, request a copy of your medical record, or request additional information. In relation to your health condition or any changes to your personal information, this information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
Receive medical services on time, and respond to your requests or inquiries promptly.
Get written consent to store or dispose of any materials or body parts other than those used to receive medical services.
Be informed of the responsible entity for resolving any problems or disputes, such as the Ethics and Conduct Committee or the Patient Affairs Department.
Continuity of healthcare, including obtaining a discharge summary report with instructions for ensuring continuity of healthcare requirements.
Obtain necessary information about the hospital, including the hospital’s accreditations, experience in providing healthcare services, performance indicators, how to access technology during your stay, and hospital rules, policies, and procedures related to your treatment plan.

Duties of the Patient, Their Family, and Their Relatives

The patient, their family, and their relatives play a significant role in improving the patient’s condition and leading them toward a speedy recovery, God willing. Therefore, the patient and their family’s cooperation with the treating medical team and their respect for the hospital’s rules and regulations are extremely important to achieving the ultimate goal of the patient’s recovery. The patient and their family should disclose complete information regarding the patient’s health condition and past, and provide the treating medical team with a comprehensive medical history during examination and diagnosis.
The patient and their family should understand the treatment plan proposed by the medical team, and the team should follow up and implement it.
The medical team should be informed of any unexpected change in the patient’s health condition.
The patient and their family should appreciate the consequences of refusing treatment or refraining from performing any medical procedure on the patient, and bear responsibility for them.
